Galbanum has been highly regarded in both India and Iran for its medicinal properties, particularly in relieving pain, treating internal diseases, and as an antiseptic for wounds. Today, the primary use of Galbanum is in the perfume industry, where it serves as a base for fragrances, with its medicinal and industrial applications being quite limited.
